The 2020 Fletcher Political Risk Conference will explore how multinational companies and lenders are redefining political risk as external stakeholders exert more influence on their strategic decisions. Across the globe, communities, social movements, and local/national governments are mobilizing against globalization. How are these new disrupting stakeholders affecting the investment and operating decisions of multinational companies and lenders? For multinational institutions, the concept of political risk is moving between the poles of geopolitical and social/economic disruption.
The 2020 Conference will explore these unique challenges and call upon leading experts to explain the forces driving institutions to restructure and rethink political risk, stakeholder engagement, and communication dynamics. This year’s theme centers on New Drivers of Disruption: Political Risk Tool Kits for Multinational Organizations and will bring together leading private sector practitioners, NGO officials, and government decision-makers to understand how at the organizational-level, institutions can prepare for today's unique set of challenges.
